Marraskuu locket
Marraskuu is Finnish and it means November. The moon etched on the cover of the locket is the moon of the November sky. November is the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the winter. November has been thought as a time when the line between the dead and the living is very fragile and connection to the spirit world is strong.
The moon also has a lot of symbolism and moon has a powerful influence on nature. The phases of the moon are believed to symbolize immortality and eternal cycle, enlightenment or the dark side of the nature. The moon is associated with intuition, the subconscious and has a mystical connotation.
Fragilitas Vitae with lentil lock
This handmade bracelet is one of the pieces of work from my goldsmith studies. In the clasp of this piece is one faceted rhodolite garnet (0.3 ct). The clasp of this piece is handmade lentil lock and it makes this piece unique.
Garnet is known as the birthstone for January. Rhodolite garnet is believed to symbolize love, friendship, light, vitality and spiritual growth. The petals reflect youth, fragility, renewal of life and beauty.

Sources of inspiration include the clef and the spiral found in ancient Greek architecture and the shape of the violin’s coil.
